Warranty Policy

1.  Refunds & Exchanges

  • We DO NOT refund for change of mind purchases of sunglasses or optical frames. However, we do offer exchanges of frames within (7) days of the purchase date provided the product is still within its saleable condition with the original packaging and tags intact. If the exchange item is of a lesser price, any remaining price will be credited to you in the form of a an Eyecare Focus credit note which is valid for 12 months.

  • All custom-made products such as prescription glasses, sunglasses or contact lenses may NOT be returned nor exchanged. In certain situations, some upgrades or changes may be allowed, subject to the manager’s approval, and may incur additional costs to you.

 

2. Optometrist Prescription

  • If you bring an external prescription to Eyecare Focus to have lenses made and are unhappy with the results, Eyecare Focus is NOT liable for any cost to change the lenses. All external prescriptions must not have expired, must have your full name, the prescribing optometrist's details & contact information and must be for optical glasses not contact lenses.

4. Manufacturing Warranty

  • Eyecare Focus warranties their sunglasses and optical frames against breakage due to defects in material and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase*. This warranty is offered by the supplier of these products**.

  • Our multi coated lenses also come with 12 months warranty for faulty coating. Please be advised that scratched lenses are considered normal wear and tear and are NOT covered under warranty.

  • Please note that whilst every care is taken by our suppliers to ensure screws remain tight, they do often loosen with wear. Hence, we recommend regular maintenance to ensure lenses and frames remain secure and, as such, we offer complimentary fitting and adjustment on all our glasses.  Lack of regular maintenance may result in lens or frame damage/loss and this may not be covered by warranty.

  • The benefits given to you under this express warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
     

*Sale items at 30% or greater off come with 6 months manufacturing warranty.

** It may be necessary for the item to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not the fault is a result of a defect or misuse and whether you are entitled to a replacement/repair. If the damage is deemed to be due to misuse and is not a defect in material or workmanship, you will not be entitled to free repairs or replacements.

5. Prescription Warranty and Multifocal Adaptation Warranty.

  • If you are not comfortable with the prescription or if, for some reason, your prescription changes, we will offer to remake your lenses at no cost to you if you bring them back within 1 month of the date of purchase.

  • For Multifocal non-adaptation, you may bring them back within 1 month of purchase and we will remake them as either a pair of bifocals lens or 2 pairs of single vision lenses (1 for distance and 1 for reading.) However, any discrepancy in price between the Multifocal lenses and remake lenses will NOT be reimbursed.

 

Eyecare Focus reserves the right to update and revise these warranty policies at any given time.
